Bordeaux: Haut-Medoc
Château Micalet
This tiny vineyard is known since the end of the 19th century as a quality
"Cru Artisan". The Cru Artisan are the quality cry from the Medoc
that lacked the size of bigger vineyards who were called Cru Bourgeois and Cru
Classé. Dominique and his brother now run the vineyard and are currently
undergoing the process of being recognized as Organic. To the best of my knowledge
thay are the only ones on the Haut-Medoc appellation.
The only Organic Haut-Medoc (at least in conversion)
