Languedoc: AOC Faugères
Sylva Plana Abbey
At the heart of the Faugères Controlled Appellation Vineyard in
the district of Laurens, is the Cistercian Abbey of Sylva Plana which was built
in 1139.
Following the acquisition of a number of parcels and the association with Cédric
Guy, Henry-Ferdinand Bouchard and his son Nicolas decided to enlarge their wine
range by producing Faugères AOC wines.
The tasks of vinifying and marketing the wine are the responsibility of the
Bouchard family, Cédric Guy, young and talented winegrower, is in charge
of the vineyards and the grape harvest.
